No matter how plush the bed, how cozy the kitty condo, or how elaborate the latest contraption you brought home-cat canopy, anyone?-there’s simply nothing they’d rather sit on than your laptop. If you’re a cat, the answer is simple: the keyboard, of course. Pain or illness also can cause anxiety so these dogs associate certain kinds of handling with discomfort. Fear, anxiety, and stress (FAS) also affect the immune system, impacting both physical and emotional health. There is no Memorial Day for the brave military K9s who served and lost their lives, often heroically saving their human partners. This holiday differs from Veterans’ Day which honors all those who served in the military. It originally honored those who died in the Civil War, and now honors those who died in any war. Memorial Day honors the American men and women who have lost their lives while serving in the military. We know they liked to climb on counters–but then they also find the morning newspaper and use it as a bed. ![]() I suspect our felines subscribe to the Kitty Manual on Rooling Humanz or wouldn’t have such a uniform method of intervention. Why do cats sit on books? Do your cats know how to read? Well of COURSE they do.
